York Composite Cycling Club
York Composite Cycling Club (YC3) is a sanctioned team in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League (PICL) and National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). YC3 is comprised of students from the York area in grades 6 through 12. All skill levels are welcome.
YC3 provides coaching and camaraderie to students that have a desire to mountain bike and achieve both competitive and non competitive goals in a safe and enjoyable manner. Fundamentals and skills are taught and practiced to help develop beginner and seasoned youth riders alike. The primary objective of YC3 is that riders have fun. Racing is encouraged, but not required. With the 2022 season well underway, contact us regarding joining a future team!
Coaching Staff
The YC3 volunteer coaching staff is comprised of a Head Coach and multiple Core Coaches, all licensed by NICA/PICL and trained to always put the safety and well-being of student-athletes first. Certified Parent Coaches are also integral to everyday team operations. Please inquire with the Head Coach if interested to be a Parent Coach.
Races
The regular season spans July through October, with races occurring in September and October. PICL hosts roughly five race events throughout different regions of Pennsylvania. A typical race weekend consists of pre-rides, racing, and adventure rides. Generally middle school athletes race on Saturday and high school athletes race on Sunday. The race scene and atmosphere is vibrant and fun!

Code of Conduct
We act honorably and respectfully at all team functions. We help and support each other. We are committed to the team. We are stewards to the land and trail system. We hustle. We have fun!
Teen Trail Corps
The Teen Trail Corps (TTC) is a national strategic partnership between NICA and IMBA to introduce and incorporate youth riders in the future of trail stewardship.
The TTC advocacy framework is built around the four NICA badges developed to help student-athletes connect with local community efforts. Earning badges will boost TTC members to a level of excellence known as a “Teen Trail Corps Captain”.
Through TTC, riders can earn bonus points toward their year end individual score and total team score. Every rider’s commitment to the community through trail stewardship positively impacts race series ranking.
