2022 Team Rattler

Another Awesome Season!

Participation Overview

Our 2024 regular season spans July through October, with two to three team practices per week. Races are held in September and October and hosted by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League (PICL). PICL hosts roughly six race events throughout different regions of Pennsylvania. A race event is a two day weekend affair with pre-ride and special events occurring on Saturday and races on Sunday. The race scene and atmosphere is vibrant and fun!

Practice

Commonly held at York County Parks, practices range from 90-120 minutes Tuesday and Thursday, with an optional bonus Sunday ride. Providing a mix of skills and endurance activities, practice is intended to be fun preparation for PICL race events. Parents who have attained the required NICA certifications and background checks are encouraged to ride with the team.

Safety always comes first. A bike helmet meeting ANSI or Snell standards is required. Helmets must be worn and strapped at all times when on a bike. Gloves and protective eyewear are strongly recommended, but not required by NICA.

A team uniform is required. Other team gear is available for purchase to complete the kit if desired.
